Pure Mind Wellness Receives QAHE Institutional Accreditation

The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE) has granted institutional accreditation to Pure Mind Wellness, based in St. Ann, Jamaica. The decision was announced on 18 September 2026 and follows review of the institution’s Accreditation Application Form and supporting self-evaluation, submitted by Dr. Juwell Harley, PhD, Head of Institution. The Association’s directory and related notices are published at https://www.qahe.org.

Pure Mind Wellness is a privately owned distance-learning provider formed on 27 February 2026. It is not a limited company. At the time of application the public website was not yet live; the institution stated that the site would be launched after accreditation. Instruction is delivered at a distance. The application specifies that the infection prevention and control course is offered through the website, and that mental health training may be offered through the website or by Zoom.

Mission, staffing and the teaching file

The stated mission is to provide evidence-informed education, training and wellness services that support mental, physical and emotional well-being, and to equip healthcare professionals, students, individuals and communities with knowledge and skills for informed health decisions. The stated vision is to become a centre for accessible health and wellness education.

Teaching staff qualifications recorded on the form are PhD, MEd and BScN. Independent study resources named on the form include Zoom. The self-evaluation describes learner-centred curriculum review and a mix of lectures, discussion, demonstration, case work, simulation and technology-supported activity. Assessment is described as examinations, assignments, presentations, practical tasks and other competency-based work. Faculty are expected to maintain professional competence through continuing education. Student support is described as advising, orientation, mentoring, consultation and guidance.

The institution itself notes areas for further formalisation, including systematic curriculum review, documented faculty development, use of assessment data, and monitoring of student support. Those notes form part of the file that QAHE reviewed. They are a record of the provider’s own assessment of work still required, not a separate award.

How the listing should be read

QAHE’s decision is an institutional quality-assurance listing of Pure Mind Wellness as the named provider.
