Frances Shi Ming (施明) was a veteran Hong Kong actress. She was formerly married to actor and chef Steve Lee Ka-ding (李家鼎). The couple had twin sons: Augustine Lee Wing-hon (李泳漢) and Gregory Lee Wing-ho (李泳豪, also known as Gregory Lee).
Shi Ming passed away in March 2026 at the age of 76. Her funeral arrangements became the focus of public attention after reports of differing views within the family regarding who should attend the memorial hall and how the rites should be conducted.
Augustine Lee took a leading role in organising the funeral. He stated that certain decisions, including the exclusion of Gregory’s wife from the memorial hall, reflected his mother’s wishes. Gregory and their father were reported to have attended in a more limited capacity. Both sides later made public comments about the arrangements and about longer-standing family differences.
The family has a background in Hong Kong entertainment. Lee Ka-ding has worked as an actor and chef; the sons have also appeared in television and film. Public discussion of the family has centred on the period following Shi Ming’s death.
