The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE) is proud to announce that Dr. Baktybek Ismailov has been awarded an honorary Fellowship. Dr. Ismailov is a distinguished leader in technical sciences and education. This prestigious recognition highlights his exceptional contributions to advancing education in the Kyrgyz Republic. It also reflects his ongoing commitment to promoting high-quality standards within the educational sector.
Dr. Ismailov holds a Doctorate in Technical Sciences and has an impressive academic background. He has worked at the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies in Bishkek, driving innovative research and educational practices. Since 2014, he has served as the Director of the Agency for Accreditation of Educational Programs and Organizations (AAEPO). In this role, he has been pivotal in ensuring that educational institutions in Kyrgyzstan adhere to rigorous quality standards. Consequently, his efforts have significantly contributed to enhancing the overall educational landscape.
His dedication to improving education extends beyond his administrative duties. Between 2020 and 2021, Dr. Ismailov served as a Public Adviser to the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic. In this role, he offered valuable insights and guidance on education policy. His efforts helped shape initiatives that drive educational reform and development. Dr. Ismailov also served as the Director of the Institute of Automation and Information Technologies at the National Academy of Sciences in Bishkek from 2016 to 2017. During this period, he not only showcased his commitment to advancing technical education but also implemented significant initiatives to drive progress in this field. Consequently, his leadership further demonstrated his dedication to enhancing the quality and impact of technical education.
Dr. Ismailov’s journey in the field of education began even earlier. From 1999 to 2013, he was the Head of the State Inspection on Licensing and Attestation of Educational Institutions under the Ministry of Education. In this role, he oversaw licensing processes and ensured that educational institutions met national standards. His extensive experience in various positions has given him a deep understanding of the education sector’s challenges and opportunities.
The honorary Fellowship awarded by QAHE serves as a testament to Dr. Ismailov’s remarkable influence on education in Kyrgyzstan. It highlights his unwavering commitment to promoting excellence in educational practices and ensuring quality standards. His efforts have enhanced the overall educational experience for students.
