The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary & Higher Education (QAHE) is delighted to announce the appointment of two esteemed figures in dental education from Iraq—Prof. Dr. Tahani Abdulaziz Jaffar Al-Sandook and Dr. Ahmed Basheer Ayyed—as Honorary QA Auditors. This recognition highlights their significant contributions to advancing dental education and quality assurance in academia.
Prof. Dr. Tahani Al-Sandook currently serves as the Dean of the College of Dentistry at Al-Turath University in Baghdad. A distinguished Professor of Dental Pharmacology, she has held prominent roles, including Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Mosul and Cultural Attaché at the Iraqi Embassy in Washington, D.C. Her extensive research in pain management, antimicrobial agents, and oral therapeutics has been widely published, enriching the academic landscape. Under her leadership, Al-Turath University has established a comprehensive quality assurance framework that aligns with both national and international standards, fostering strategic planning and continuous improvement in academic and clinical settings.
Dr. Ahmed Basheer Ayyed is an Assistant Lecturer of Orthodontics and the Manager of the Quality Assurance Unit at Al-Turath University. He is recognized for his innovative approaches to orthodontic education and institutional quality assurance systems. Dr. Ahmed holds degrees from Future University in Egypt and Al-Azhar University in Cairo, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Orthodontics at Universiti Sains Malaysia. He has been instrumental in leading training programs and workshops across Baghdad, mentoring aspiring dentists. His expertise in digital orthodontics and AI applications enhances the educational experience for students.
The appointments of Prof. Dr. Tahani Al-Sandook and Dr. Ahmed Basheer Ayyed as Honorary QA Auditors exemplify QAHE’s commitment to recognizing academic excellence and fostering international collaboration in quality assurance.
