The International Association for Quality Assurance in Pre-Tertiary and Higher Education (QAHE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Uzbekistan Teachers of English Association (UzTEA), marking a new collaborative partnership aimed at strengthening professional development opportunities for English language educators in Uzbekistan and beyond.
The agreement focuses on cross-promotion and mutual recognition of select non-regulatory activities. Under the MOU, both organizations will promote each other’s events, conferences, professional development programs, awards, and membership benefits to their respective networks. This includes sharing information through newsletters, websites, and social media channels to expand reach and visibility.
Additionally, QAHE and UzTEA will mutually recognize agreed-upon activities such as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certificates, workshops, and award announcements, provided they meet jointly established standards.
Strategic Collaboration
UzTEA, a non-profit professional association founded in the mid-1990s, has nearly three decades of experience in teacher training, community building, and international cooperation across Uzbekistan. QAHE brings its global expertise in quality assurance, accreditation, and capacity building for educational institutions worldwide.
This partnership leverages UzTEA’s strong national presence with QAHE’s international platform, with the goal of enhancing access to high-quality professional development resources and fostering greater collaboration within the English language teaching community.
It is important to note that the MOU is limited to cross-promotion and mutual recognition. It does not include institutional or programmatic accreditation, nor does it transfer any regulatory authority. Any future deeper cooperation, such as formal accreditation services, would require separate agreements and full due diligence.
